Hawee M&E: Winning the bid package for supply and installation of the low-voltage electrical system for Metro Line No. 3

Metro Line No. 3 (Nhon – Hanoi Station section) is one of the key projects which the Government and the Ministry of Transport pay close attention and directs to meet the increasing travel needs of the people and contribute to solving the negative impacts of traffic congestion as well as environmental pollution. It is also considered as one of the large projects funded by France to Vietnam, marking the cooperation between France and Vietnam. The international famous contractors such as Posco E&C (Korea) as General Contractor, and Systra as Design Consultant (France), ... will contribute to the implementation of this ambitious project. Winning the national transport infrastructure project, Hawee M&E continues to be engaged in a key project and affirm its position with international contractors by its quality, prestige and professionalism. In this project, Hawee M&E will supply and install a low-voltage electrical system for Metro Line No. 3.

The metro line has a length of 12.5 km, including 8 elevated stations and 4 underground stations. Hawee will install a low-voltage electrical system for all 8 elevated stations, including power cable, cable tray, lightning protection... With the pride of being the only M&E contractor owning the switchboard and electromechanical equipment manufacturing plants of over 10,000m2, all cable trays installed at the stations will be manufactured at Hawee Plant (Bac Ninh). The line of folding and punching machines imported from CNC - TRUMPF (Germany) helps to ensure the accuracy, sharpness and uniformity of products. All production materials of cable trays are imported from Posco (Korea) and steel is imported from Nisshin (Japan), ... ensuring durability and smooth surface, and preventing cable scratching as well as surface corrosion even at the perforated positions. The switchboards and cable trays manufactured by Hawee have been installed in many works with Hawee as a general contractor and are highly appreciated by investors such as Vinacomin Tower, Vietnam Telecommunications Authority, Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc, Melia Ho Tram at Hamptons (Vung Tau), ...

A special feature of the Metro Line No. 3 is the overhead construction site above the ground with normal traffic, so the safety is given the top priority for contractors. Hawee's Project Management Board together with Safety Department made plan for risk assessment before construction and safety plans during execution, and committed to complying with safety measures approved by investors and General contractor so that Safety always comes first and the Line will be put into operation by 2020, meeting people's expectations and solving traffic congestion at the western gateway of Hanoi.
